Restore Blue began as a powerful environmental tech concept: a platform designed to help governments and organisations measure and restore marine ecosystems.
The founder had scientific credibility and technical insight, but the product, brand, and experience were not yet aligned to support scale. The platform needed to evolve from prototype to institutional-grade solution.
- Fragmented brand identity and user journeys across complex environmental data
- A product experience that lacked clarity and hierarchy
- An investor narrative that didn’t fully articulate impact and scalability
- A fragile technical architecture limiting growth
- No unified go-to-market or positioning strategy
We redesigned core interaction flows to:
- Simplify reporting
- Clarify status tracking
- Make system logic visible
- Reduce cognitive load across multilingual contexts
We redesigned core screens to:
- improve navigation
- reduce cognitive load
- and make environmental impact metrics more interpretable.
We mapped detailed journeys for both administrators and end users to ensure the platform reflected real-world environmental workflows, not just system logic.
This helped us:
- Align the experience with decision-making cycles
- Reduce friction across roles
- Surface critical information at the right moments
- Strengthen trust in platform outputs
The result was a role-aware, operationally grounded experience designed to drive adoption and confidence across the ecosystem.
Medium fidelity wireframes served as the structural blueprint for the product – defining layout hierarchy, navigation logic, data presentation, and key interaction patterns before visual design was applied.
Next we performed a well architected review, to access any structural and future limitations.
We then supported the platform rebuild, ensuring:
This helped us:
- Scalability
- Security
- Trust
- Audit-readiness
- Long-term institutional credibility
- UX never operates in isolation, our next step was to enhance the brand across various applications, to ensure a consistent brand and product experience
- Refresh and elevation of the brand identity
- Definition of brand tone of voice and positioning
- Development of a cohesive product narrative
- Alignment of investor messaging with product capability
- The product experience and brand story were rebuilt together
We redesigned core interaction flows to:
- Simplify reporting
- Clarify status tracking
- Make system logic visible
- Reduce cognitive load across multilingual contexts
Structure and hierarchy were prioritised over visual flourish.
- Intuitive environmental data dashboards
- Structured impact measurement flows
- Improved data visualisation for nontechnical stakeholders
- Scalable UI framework
- Audit-ready design supporting government tenders
The design prioritised clarity, defensibility, and institutional trust.
The high-fidelity MVP became the key asset used to close the initial investment round.
We are strategic partners for the current funding round, codeveloping the investment narrative.
The redesigned UX converted pilot users into annual paid
contracts.
Audit-ready UX and compliance-aware design supported a major national tender win.
The platform secured key scientific data partnerships and institutional backing.
